Astrology w/ Astro Lada
I’ve been into Astrology from a very young age, but like most, on the surface level in regards to the zodiac signs. All I really knew about was Sun signs or the Star sign which is just the sign you were born under depending on where the Sun was at the time of your birth. I am an Aries and proud of it for as long as I could remember.
Until…
I learned about Natal Charts! Ahhh, a whole new world! All of a sudden I’m finding out what’re are my “big 3,” - My what?! Sun, Moon & Rising/Ascendant. So the Sun sign is the sign that everyone is familiar with based on your birthday. But the Moon sign and the Ascendent? What was that? And how did I magically become 2 more signs? That’s way more signs than I could handle! Lol So let me break it down for you - and know that you’re more than just one or even 3, you’re comprised of WAY more than that!
Most of my learning was from an Astrologist named Astro Lada (Lada Duncheva). Lada has been in the game for as long as I can remember and puts out so much valuable content. I highly recommend if you’re looking to learn, Astro Lada is your girl.
Incase you’re wondering, this is NOT a sponsored post. I am in no way shape of form being compensated for speaking on or promoting Lada’s services, I just really enjoy her content and have for many years now. You may do your own research and find the Astrologist that is best suited for you! I also follow other astrologists, she’s not the only one, but she is my most trusted, longest standing.
Now, back to the “big 3.” Again, while you are most commonly aware of your Sun sign, you also have a Moon, Ascendent/Rising, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Lilith (more on Lilith another time), Pluto & North Node (more on the North Node another time). Yes, I know sounds like a lot, but keep following. Each planet is representative of a different part of you. I made this quick list to help you understand:
Sun - the individual, the self, how you see yourself
Ascendant/Rising - how others see you
Moon - how you feel and process your feelings
Mercury - the way you communicate
Venus - the way you love
Mars - the way you take action
Jupiter - expansion & luck
Saturn - effort & responsibilities
Uranus - change & innovation
Neptune - illusion & spirituality
Pluto - transformation & rebirth
For each planet, there is a sign that falls in that planet on your Birth Chart. The sign helps you understand how that planet interacts with that sign to showcase how you approach the facet in the outside world. For example, if you’re an Aquarius Rising/Ascendent (how other people see you), you may be a Virgo, which is a more reserved sign, but others perceive you as quirky or unusual, or even strange, as Aquarius is a sign that is considered “out of the box.” Another example would be, you are a Virgo, but you have an Aries Venus, so again, while Virgo is a more reserved sign, the Aries Venus might make you rash & quick in pursuing love because Aries is a fast moving Fire sign. Makes sense? Maybe not entirely. But that’s OK! It take more than just this small synopsis of what it all means. And this isn’t including the ASPECTS - right… lol What’s that mean? We’ll leave that for another time lol But let’s just say the aspects are the angular relationships the planets make with one another, which help determine how they interact with one another.
